this guitar has had most of the restoration work done on the top.. several cracks repaired, and the whole top French Polished.. it also had the neck reset, and has been refretted.. that's it for the negative.. for the positive, it remains an extremely rare and highly collectible early Maccaferri, retaining the resonator inside, as well as excellent sound and playability.. as of 2005, only half a dozen of these guitars have been actually found..
