2002 14 fret Dhole

650 mm scale, solid German spruce top.. mahogany neck with rosewood board..wild looking laminated back and sides with a rosewood insert.. I asked what type of wood it was.. and I was told..(sic) ..it's German wood...!!! bought 35 years ago.. made from some sort of new process.. has a unrolled log kind of appearance..so there.. don't ask me more..!!! these guitars are handmade by Pierre Fontaine..who's in his 70's..somewhat semi coxed out of retirement.. they fit perfectly between the entry level Patenotte's and the significantly more expensive Luthier's models..very good neck angle..open, yet crunchy gypsy sound...
